Overview
CarrotFunding executes trades on Hyperliquid’s fully on-chain order book. Trades match by strict price-time priority - best price first, and at the same price the oldest order first - with the matching engine running inside the chain’s own consensus, so no operator, validator, or bot can reorder or front-run your trade, and fills settle in the same block. Every order, fill, and liquidation is recorded on-chain, so you can independently verify any trade yourself on the Hyperliquid explorer.

Leverage
Leverage is up to 5x per position, or the maximum Hyperliquid allows for that market if that is lower - Hyperliquid sets leverage limits per asset, so some markets cap below 5x.
Fees and Funding
You pay standard Hyperliquid maker/taker fees, based on Hyperliquid’s volume-tiered fee schedule, including maker/taker fees, spread per asset class, and the funding rate for longer-held positions.

The funding rate has a fixed component (0.01% per 8 hours) plus a variable premium based on the difference between the perpetual price and the oracle price, paid hourly (capped at 4% per hour) between long and short position holders - it is not a fee charged by the platform itself.
Trading Hours
Hyperliquid trades 24/7, so you can hold, open, and close positions right through the weekend. Even the tokenized real-world assets (stocks, indices, commodities) trade around the clock as perpetuals, unlike traditional markets.
We don’t restrict trading around news events - you can trade through them. (Prices can move sharply during major news, so manage your risk accordingly.)
Current Limitations
- Open Interest Caps: Maximum allowed open interest (long + short) per market is enforced and adjusts dynamically based on market conditions and liquidity. You can view current limits directly in the trading terminal.
- Dynamic Adjustments: Asset availability, leverage limits, and market parameters are set by Hyperliquid and may change based on market conditions.
Liquidation
Liquidation follows standard perpetual-futures mechanics: a position is liquidated once losses erode the required maintenance margin for that market. Exact thresholds and formulas vary by asset and leverage - refer to the Hyperliquid documentation for the current calculation.
